BASTROP YOUTH FOOTBALL ORGANIZATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WORKING TOWARDS THE POSITIVE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY'S CHILDREN. ESTABLISHED IN APRIL 1997 AND A CURRENT MEMBER OF THE BASTROP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, BYFO WORKS WITH CHILDREN AGES 4 TO 18 FROM BASTROP AND SURROUNDING AREAS IN ORDER TO FOSTER A KEEN SENSE OF TEAM WORK AND SELF CONFIDENCE. FAMILIES FROM CEDAR CREEK, MCDADE, SMITHVILLE, PAIGE, ROCKNE, AND ROSANKY, HAVE BEEN BRINGING THEIR CHILDREN TO BASTROP TO PLAY FOOTBALL AND PARTICIPATE IN CHEER LEADING FOR OVER THE PAST 17 YEARS. BYFO OFFERS SUMMER CAMPS, PLAY-OFF EVENTS, AND MANY OTHER FAMILY FUN FILLED TIMES.

As an organization, BYFO believes strongly in community and family. BYFO provides both community involvement and support. We make it a point to purchase our supplies from local companies whenever possible and encourage the families of our players to do the same. Every child has the right to participate, learn and grow through organized sports, and we do our best to make that a reality for every child who wants to play or cheer.

Fundraising

BYFO Fundraising

As we all know BYFO is a wonderful organization. BYFO relies on fundraising in order to continue to benefit our children. Your help with fundraising will help us reach our goal. It is important, not only for our children, but for the whole family to be able to participate in a program that promotes fitness, self esteem, education, team work, discipline, strength, respect and family. BYFO teaches our children these things and a whole lot more. Not only are sports vital for the positive growth of children but it is great for the whole family. Today it is harder than ever for families to get together. Having kids involved in sports, or other activities, gives families reasons to spend time with each other and encourage one another. Because we are in a small town, funds are limited, we strive to keep our registration cost down to be affordable for BYFO families. Fundraising is necessary for BYFO to continue to operate. That is where you can come in, our fundraising goal for this year is $32,000. I would appreciate your assistance with trying to raise this money. These are a few ways you can help, participate in fundraisers organized by BYFO, ask people and businesses you support to become sponsors of BYFO and consider BYFO when deciding which non-profits to support. We are a 501c3 non-profit and contributions are tax deductible. BYFO is a worth while organization. Youth programs are at the top of the list for guiding our children in the right direction and helping prevent troubled teens later. The Bastrop Youth Football Organization provides for the youth of the Bastrop area a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment in which to learn football and cheerleading basic fundamentals, sportsmanship, self-pride, discipline and team spirit.

Every year our athletes and their parents strive to do the best they can to play hard, and support our organization. We are grateful to have such a wonderful group of citizens and neighbors come together for such a great experience of camaraderie in youth football.

Any donation, no matter how small or big helps each one of the Players, Parents, and Volunteers that are involved with BYFO. Please contact us through email, or in person at one of our events, to make a donation.

Remember, we are a non-profit organization that runs solely off Volunteers, Registrations, Sponsors, and Donations. Thank you for your interest and support.

The Bastrop Football Youth Organization board members who donate countless hours of their time and energies to support our program are instrumental in running this organization year round. However, in order to meet the goal of providing the very best for our children we depend on volunteers. The commitments from BYFO volunteers have made and will continue to make BYFO a great organization.

As we begin to plan for our another exciting year of BYFO Football and Cheer, we need to ask for volunteers. Our association is a non-profit organization that is strictly run by volunteers. Our volunteer coaches, board members and workers, donate their time and energies in support of our program to run this organization. These people, parents like yourself, want only what is best for our children. It is this commitment, you will come to recognize, that makes the Bastrop Youth Football Organization great.
